Only played it twice so far so not much. I don't really have a good understanding on how to chipmaxx yet. Do you want to throw away shit cards while making a lesser hand so you don't have to use discards? Do you want to keep discarding to make a good 5 card hand (flush/straight), or just go with 2 pairs or 3 of a kinds when you got 'em?

Early game discarding for high flush/straight to money
Maxx is ideal.
Chip maxxing can be done via a foil effect on joker
cards 
or enhancing cards 
in your deck via arcana pack which will add +30 chips 
to 2 selected cards. There's also what's called stone 
cards 
which have no suit or rank but give +50 chips 
when played in a hand but then you can't do straights or flushes really
Generally you want to try to build
your deck around a joker 
playstyle for example there's a joker 
that has +13 multi per queen 
held in hand or a joker 
that let's you play gapped straights. It gets a lot better 
when you unlock more stuff.

Nah it has a full list of the points a hand is worth. You just need to know how to make the hands. The ranks of each card is the number value ie a 2 of clubs would
be worth 2 points when scoring. IIRC it also has a tutorial but trust me it's fricking 
awesome!

I get routinely mocked in public for wearing a mask. (fake-liberal bastion of Austin, TX). If I weren't a tall, large man, it would likely be much worse.
Had a woman mutter the f-word at me under her breath in passing, for wearing one just the other day, as I was walking out of an HEB. No, not frick. The other f-word. The homosexual slur. Said that shit at just the right moment when I was just outside the store, rolling groceries to my vehicle, and unable to react in time. It's just one example, I have many stories.
I am boosted with the good stuff. I just don't want to get COVID and nobody around me is masking up, even after COVID exposure reports. A friend of mine got COVID back in March of this year, and their sense of smell and taste still has not returned. It has dramatically harmed their quality of life, and they're not sure for how long. Could be forever.
I don't know how to not be targeted for abuse by....other Texans, and still stay safe right now.
Maybe another spike would give my safe behaviors more cover, because there would be more people masking up then? I don't know. I know it's a strange way to think about it, but I'm at my wit's end as far as what to do.
