Kerbal Space Program 2 is kill

I didn't buy it but apparently it wasn't very good even for an early access launch. RIP in peace.

Also Dean Hall, the creator of DayZ, is making a spiritual successor to KSP1?

What even was the point of KSP2 like what really was missing from KSP1?

Performed bad, looked bad, could've had more content

The vision they had was actually really cool. Interstellar space colonies basically, with resource management, etc. Also apparently completely unrealistic because early access had none of that and what they did release was worse than KSP1.

KSP was grounded enough that something like a space colony was unrealistic. You spend most of the game building plausible probes, landers, and space stations. You can land "buildings” on other planets but it's kinda pointless to make a "colony".

When they started talking about colonies I was afraid they were trying to do too much.

Sales of ksp1 tailed off so they needed more income
