I've actually been wanting a more fluid action feeling party fantasy RPG that still remains a party RPG, specifically thinking of an evolved bioware game. But somehow this does not make me interested in this at all.

DD:DA holds up and it's like $5. The 2nd one is pretty fun but is indeed somewhat empty feeling and the story is even more nonsensical than the first. Good gameplay though imo, both are amongst the best if not the best action RPGs in that category. For the 2nd, I can't recommend it unless/until they release a DLC that fixes it's problems unless you already liked the first.
That's suspicious, as all diversity now is, but isn't a full red flag for me. The cartoony overwatch shit everyone is already complaining about, none of it gives off good vibes. Those flashy, subtitled character introductions just make the characters look boring.
I feel like a minority in that I liked Dragon Age 3 a lot, but at the same time I feel like a lot of even angry nerds secretly did, because everyone posting about this can't be r-slurs still seething about their specialest game from 15 years ago. (DA:O was lit though.)

I keep considering it, but it looks so neurodivergent and empty feeling though.

It is super empty, and the lack of both fast travel and mounts makes exploring very, very tedious
It's also a game you cannot go through without carefully planning your character, especially the second part and the DLC (Dark Arisen)

I didnt plan shit and as i recall the dlc was still easy.
My build was hitting things with a big stick though.
