Arsey, I hate to break it to you but dark souls "lore" isn't real. Fromsoft leaves it as vague and incomplete as possible so that soultubers can put it together and whichever is the best one gets the jap nod of approval

yup, every lorebro should have realised when dark souls 3 came out that there was never any lore and the developers don't give even one hundredth of the fricks the lore youtubers do about the story
you thought the "setup" about the exiled son of gwyn was going anywhere or referencing anything in dark souls 1 you can piece together? perhaps some sort of interesting allusion to a mysterious sun-obsessed character the game focuses on massively? no it was nothing to do with anything, he's just some random guy with a dragon.
also there was an additional sister that never got mentioned, she just sits in nowhere with an egg for no reason. also the big ultimate lore is some random girl's uncle fighting you in nowhere for no reason
