Lol, I've not been a KiA mod for about 10 years. Left when a bunch of rightoids decided to use it as a culture war sub.
To get to your point though, video game companies are absolutely terrified of being accused of objectifying women by journos. It's a controversy that they go too far in trying to avoid, so you end up with all their female characters being buttfrick ugly.
G*mers definitely want hot women, but bonuses in the industry are usually tied to critic review scores rather than sales, so they have to pander to woke journos instead of the audience.

Not really, no. Once OG G*merGate wrapped up the community wanted to broaden into general anti-woke politics at a time when I and other jannies like Hat had little appetite for it.
In hindsight they were kinda right, the creeping leftoid takeover of every hobby space did happen. Even Reddit fell. Nonetheless it was such a difficult sub to run that I wasn't going to do it for free.
