Man, I played it some years back and it just never clicked. I played it all the way through on hard difficulty but it felt like a slog. None of the guns were particularly interesting (no alt fire!) and there were like five enemy types. Didn't really use the melee moves but those felt like a gimmick you only use a couple of times anyway. It also wasn't particularly scary.

You can jumpscare yourself by playing horror games. If the horror game has jumpscares the horror game is shit and you will be scared of yourself. It's a simple rule of horror games.
