bethesda bravely and courageously takes a stand by saying nazis bad in their game about nazis being bad

https://x.com/GameSpot/status/1851357910254960880

"The story and contents of this game are not intended to and should not be construed in any way to condone, glorify, or endorse the beliefs, ideologies, events, actions, persons, or behavior of the Nazi and fascist regimes, nor any other regimes or to trivialize any war crimes, genocide, and other crimes against humanity."

i was really wondering how bethesda felt about this. they made a game where you shoot nazis, so it's a good thing they cleared this up. it was very vague and hard to tell if nazis were bad or not.

This statement comes amidst a resurgence in neo-Nazi activity, in both Europe and in America.

i wonder if that :quote: resurgence of neo-nazi activity in america :quote: means :quote: trump exists :quote: because where the frick is this RESURGENCE OF NEO-NAZI ACITIVTY?

This is just cheap marketing. These warnings weren't really uncommon even before modern pc culture

What other major games had them?

Usually if a game revolves around you shooting the frick out of Nazis, they didn't feel a need to additionally tell you that Nazis are bad. It was implied by the fact that they were the bad guys in the game and you spent the whole game killing them.

Maybe I'm getting this confused with "this is a work of fiction" disclaimers or maybe school related stuff, so I can't answer that. I still stand by the cheap marketing statement, though.

I think the first Assassin's Creed had a big "This is a multicultural team..." But that's cause burgers still hated on Muslims and the game was set in the middle east during the crusades. I can't remember it being common even after that until we got to cuckville 2016
