Imagine buying a fridge that only works online because reasons, and it has a TOS saying if you swear on twitch it will ban your account and your fridge will become bricked, also you can't use or sell it.
That's about the state of some video game platforms today. Online only DRM connected to required account logins from companies that ban for even off game behavior
