I bought something similar from corsair I think like 10 years ago and it was more like a lap thing that still needed to be tethered with usb and power cables to a pc or something and it was awkward
So this design would only work if its wireless for everything.
Honestly a firm mouse pad and a wireless mouse is fine and just get a firm wireless keyboard to go with it. Uboat is not that input intensive that you need this giant 200$ foam around you like that.

Xbox is better for any game actually built for controllers, the steam controller is better for more mouse-heavy games, such as CIV, EU4, Turing Complete, etc. Those sorts of games are awful with traditional controllers. I just wish valve makes a SC2 based on the new Steam Deck layout. The Steam Deck is the best god-darn controller I've ever used, it bridges this gap allowing me to both play traditional controller oriented games and mouse-heavy games all the same.

A lapboard is probably sufficient. I bought a Corsair K63 with the lapboard attachment at the start of the pandemic and it's been ok, and it was cheaper than this. You could probably get a decent one for way cheaper without a kb if you already have one you like.
