Just imagine having an MTX that is so fricking predatory that it makes your playerbase nostalgic for the lootbox cancer from the 2010s, and now that most of them have migrated to Marvel Rivals, you bring them back as a way of saying that you listen to your community or something

/u/wvj you could literally buy the event skins for free using the free currency that got fricking piled on you for just playing the game, any mode.
You guys need to understand anybody who actually bought loot boxes in OW could not have actually played the game. Every last one of these people are the kind to drop $100+ on skins/lootboxes for a game they legitimately didn't play, because if they did, they'd get it for free.

I played Overwatch for a few years. I remember all the debate about predatory monetization and how lootboxes are shit and all but...
I bought the game, I never bought a single lootbox and I had a shit ton of cosmetics. I remember them being a scam because they were so bad, but why the frick would you even buy it if the game throws lootboxes at you for free? It wasn't a shy dripfed of cosmetics like 1 skin a month in League of legends, it was legitimately a shit ton of stuff for... playing the game.
