How would you suggest this game sexualizes its men then?
MK11 Shao has a leather titty harness; that shits pretty hot. Complements his armor skirt-no-pants also.
Stuff like that. The clothing makes the sexualization, not the lack of clothing.
I mean I get what you're saying but I feel like a lot of that comes down the aesthetic of mk. The best example of male sexualization I can think of is magic mike, but things like an unbuttoned shirt with a tie don't fit in the same way (although I would kill for a Johnny magic mike skin)-

And then this r-slur above proceeds to drop a WORDSNUKE with excuses about why sexualizing male characters is heckin valid and empowering but doing the same for foids is now heckin problematic incel gooner chud behavior, just be honest reddit - the male gaze is bad so sexualizing female characters is problematic, but not with male characters, no need to write paragraphs upon paragraphs of r-slurred bullshit, this shit has been happening for over a decade and even normies are nooticing it

MK has the most awkward, inhuman animations in video games. Anybody able to goon to mortal kombat has one or more DSM recognized mental disorders.

The combination of Dial-A-Combo plus the Uncanny Valley 3D style just leads to incredibly awkward animations that don't flow well.
The one silver lining is that the jank animations of the latest MK releases are very true to the spirit of the original games.
