Stuff like that. The clothing makes the sexualization, not the lack of clothing.
I mean I get what you're saying but I feel like a lot of that comes down the aesthetic of mk. The best example of male sexualization I can think of is magic mike, but things like an unbuttoned shirt with a tie don't fit in the same way (although I would kill for a Johnny magic mike skin)-

It's a dumb argument because part of the male power fantasy is being attractive to women.
The feminists who argue this stuff genuinely believe you can't sexualize men because men (at least used to) be in charge of game development. Even when they're undeniably sexualized like Shao Khan's titty armor, they'll say it's for gay men and still doesn't count.
I've seen women argue that the Bieber-esque skinny boys you see in Korean RPGs are standard male power fantasy and not geared towards the female gaze, and that Kevlar-wearing women in CoD games are sexualized because their faces are conventionally attractive.

That being said the interchangeable bikinis in MK9 were just boring and anybody still pining after those designs is 100% a degenerate gigacoomer. MK11's female designs were way cooler, there's a ton of room between making everyone as ugly or bland as possible, and just the bare minimum to avoid nudity.

Yeah I think X was a decent middle ground. I do think 11 had some neat designs like Skarlet but a lot of them do look pretty samey.
9 was just ugly and bland unless you're such a degenerate you can't handle a female character not looking like a really weird porno "actress."

Skarlet was okay yeah. I also liked Jade in 11. But I think they ruined Cassie and Sonya (and I'm not only talking about Rousey)
