It's so bizarre to me that like 20 years ago people would mail order games for $100 out of a hobby magazine with nothing but a few screenshots.
And in the blink of an eye they're mad they cant buy porno off the shelf at best buy or whatever and its some great injustice of the industry

Don’t forget the shitty reviews in those magazines! They were the absolute worst source to get any information on a game that interested you. Some would outright lie about mechanics or features and others would just turn into rants about the industry itself. I guess some things don’t change, huh?
