PoE patch dropped this weekend breaking item drops for almost all content in the game. This is alongside issues with balance other nerfs in the patch.
Players are not happy with these changes, with many of the top streamers considering quitting the league.
New Dev post today lists things they are working on for the next few days, but notably many of the reduced item drop rates are "working as intended".
This has sent the Reddit into a frenzy.

Glad someone posted this, I was thinking of it but I don’t know enough about poe to do it. I was in groomercord with people racing in hardcore who also watch the poe streamers tonight and when that dev announcement dropped, it was like the world stopped for a moment to read it, then the biggest wave of seethe was generated all at once as everyone read the devs say “not getting any loot from this one expensive activity is working as intended”.
This was on top of the entire player base filling diapers with shit and tears for the entire past weekend since Friday afternoon when the league dropped because the devs nerfed a ton of peoples favorite builds.
The reasoning the devs gave for not having loot drop was hilarious as well, it was basically “we want to save people from clicking too much and having too much loot would lead to too much clicking”.
Clickphobic activities immediately became a meme with us. IT’S ALL APART OF CHRISES VISION

I'm playing group solo self found this league and everyone is constantly frustrated.
Like the game is as hard or harder than ever but now we have no currency or crafting options available to us making the struggle worse.

I don’t really care about all the crafting. I’ve actually played almost every league since 2011 and all I do is get a minion witch or totem old man to around 70 and quit.
I’m fricking loving this league because there’s a ton of new minion only gear like the new wands and rings, but everyone else seems to be uncontrollably sneeding.
You can also do dumb shit like fill the lake of kalandra with packs of monkies, so I’m liking the mechanic.

You literally need to play 10 hours a day and have no life if you want to make ground in the leagues. I quit, because the game is designed around playing 10 hours a day, anyone who has a life/job/family cannot play this game without neglecting other aspects of your life. The streamers just get their cuck viewers to donate them items, so they reach an endgame within a few days that would take the average player 300-500 hours.
You can play it to a casual level, but you will miss out on most of it.
Then there's the overly convoluted content, just janky shit and systems all over the place like an uneven puzzle, and a billion fragments to keep up with.
