What's Hypergamy and why do it?

As defined by our lolcow, it's the art of leveling yourself up so you can get with rich/successful men. Her subreddit, /r/hypergamyforwomen, is meant for those go-getters. She says that because "Modern women" are going 50/50 on everything (dinner date bills, rent payments when living with their boyfriend, working and raising the kids), they're so exhausted and need a break and a real man, not low-status men (big overlap with /r/FemaleDatingStrategy). A sample of her writings is below

It is easy to find women who play the 50/50 role all over Reddit and in real life. They complain about their relationships in various spaces. Their men play video games after work or are underemployed while they tend to kids and pay half their checks to live. The women sound exhausted. Tired. Need a rest.

Hypergamy can allow woman to rest in their feminine by being with men who care for their needs as masculine providers. Feel free to share any thoughts! 🙂

Where drama?

There isn't much, yet. Her sub is pretty small (227 subscribers) and is really more like a blog that very few interact with. There is some drama in the larger ones listed above as women hugbox and gaslamp each other. This is especially the case in the sugarbaby oriented subs and posts.

There is some drama to be had by bringing /u/mymilkshakeinyoface here. I'm sure she would love /h/foid and /h/femaledatingstrategy. For those who are here for drama though, some fun hits are below.

Candace did this when she was no longer able to pay for college and her career in acting did not pan out. The answer is never no, it’s either yes, not now, or there’s something even better for you. Trust in God/the Universe.

If you’re meaning to promote a path to success & marrying well by aligning yourself with questionable or possibly racist people (in some cases confirmed racists with evidence ), denying the plight of individuals of your background and/or race, or being the mouth piece of pundits & organized groups who will use you to secure votes or other means to influence others for their own power, manipulation, subjugation, & schemes….then yes this is a way.

Perhaps Candace decided to marry well at any cost & without integrity, but please be truthful. There is a price to pay on a personal level when using this strategy.

It’s very very easy to become popular in conservative circles. All you have to do is rant loudly and have the most extreme possible opinion. Looking good certainly helps but it’s far from a requirement. Can you share the Leadership Institute materials? I feel like Republicans are the ultimate Diablo/a 😂 I hate them so much.

To a point, but liberals are more likely to ditch someone when bad info comes out about them (like a male feminist, lying about their race etc.) On the other hand conservatives will just double down and excuse the controversy. “Thin blue line” vibes.

Not really, militant vegan activists are a prime example of this - many will make death threats, talk about killing people, babies, etc. and the community will continue to back them

Here's the thing. There are minorities that truly does have conservative/libertarian views, you may not like it but that's how they are. Nothing is going to change that. Why not tap into that demographic? I call it smart others call it manipulative.

What I like doesn’t matter.

Go for whatever you want. There’s shades of gray to many things (minus organizations with proven racists who’ve spoken at their events, others who’ve been recorded yelling “White Power”, etc).

I get it, I really do. I don't hang around racist idiots either, but I sure as well hangout and network with conservatives that are well connected in my industry. TBH liberals are 100x more racist. Just because they voted for Obama doesn't mean they want to see you be successful. They talk very greasy and down about minorities.
