Yeah, he's basically doing the prosecution's job by tardedly asking every question he possibly could during cross examination and letting the witnesses get everything on the record. She just needs to avoid making any mistakes that would let him waste the court's resources on appeals.

Legit question. Isn't their some mechanism a judge can use against an unruly defendent who's being disruptive of the court? Even if he's representing himself.

Yes, he was sent into another court room to watch on CCTV one day last week when he was being disruptive. And if he keeps asking the same stupid irrelevant questions over and over (like "have you ever met the state of Wisconsin?") then she can end his examination of the witness. Which has happened at least twice while I've been watching.
