Rather than merely trying to absolve themselves of legal responsibility or, worse, trying to drive out teenagers entirely, service providers should instead focus on crafting safety strategies that can accommodate a wide variety of use cases for platforms like Grindr β including, possibly, their role in safely connecting queer young adults.

I dont think it even is that deep, i think they just think about what they wanted when they were that age, with a heap of projecting their current wants.
