Reassuring to hear trans pets are actually a thing and to find others who are open-minded enough to accept it.
I found out my AFAB trans-masc puppy was trans when he started to peepee his leg to pee and displayed other masculine traits, such as leg-humping and biting and growling at our other cis boy pupper.
There doesn't seem to be any field in pet veterinary science specialising in gender behaviours and I've had multiple vets put the phone down on me when asking for advice. I think for now we have to give up hope of hormone therapy and definitely gender affirmation surgery because vets just aren't there yet. Although spaying/castration is never aproblem, so make sure you get that done.
All we can do is campaign for awareness and help our doggos by affirming their gender at home e.g appropriate names, calling them good boi/girl as appropriate, using masculine/feminine dog shampoo as appropriate, if they're a long-haired breed keeping their fur at a gender-appropriate length, etc.
