Idea: Copyright famous Powermod usernames and the submit copyright strikes to reddit. I have no clue how involved/expensive something like this would be, but the #1 thing that causes a takedown on social media sites is copyright strikes. The offending powerjannies would have no recourse for this.
I mean if you can copyright an anal cream called "Bussy Balm" should be no problem snagging a powerjannie name

You can't trademark/copyright existing properties (the usernames in this case would be considered properties) and then attempt to sue them for infringement. The mods would have years of history showing that they were using the names first and you'd have no standing.

Yeah but the powerjannies aren't going to have a legal fight over their user name, and reddit isn't going to invest resources in perusing these claims, especially if it leads to uncollectabke legal fees.
