this makes me not even want to offer sketches lol
Maybe AI can take that market too.
Wow... as someone who was hoping to one day be able to live off of my artwork this is absolutely just crushing me...
SOMEONE STOP THEM PLEASE!

I don't think there's a lawyer willing to fail that many cases.

I would take all these cases pro bono just to make a judge look at furry porn

Iβm not too familiar with computer vision but how do you even prove your artwork was used to train an AI unless the engineers publish their dataset? I donβt think there is any way

Disney's lawyers will find a way. I have to imagine their intellectual properties and their derivatives form a decent chunk of the training set, incedentally or not. I can see a hobbyist being able to defend, but not a site that charges membership fees to use the AI to make Scrooge McDuck porn based on screenshots from an episode of Ducktails that made it into the training set.

Using it to train the AI is almost impossible to prove and legally murky at best. On the other hand forbidding this kind of img2img application is easy enough, but unless the person buying the pic also publishes it somewhere the "artist" would never find out

It sure is weird the the people that hate AI art the most seems to be the people that just draw shit other people made 20 years ago
