That was Dan Harmon the showrunner who wanted to do an episode where Rick gets extra drunk, and he had Roiland drink and drink, and they did a clip with some interview bytes and behind the scenes, and it just looked super awkward. Like everyone else in the recording studio wanted to get done and looked really uncomfortable, and Harmon was giggling, and Roilond was messing up his already purposely messed up lines, and drinking more.
