Pretty much, Nazis were always going to target the Jews, kinda inevitable with the ideology being what it was. Hitler was probably the only one able to get the party far enough to do the damage it did (pre long knives, post had enough inertia to persist).
Someone who wasn't Hitler just wouldn't have held power long enough to do a ton of damage, would be seen in a more "weird" light. Kinda like Makhnovism, a weird ideology that never lasted long enough to be remembered by anyone but history nerds and seen as a complete failure.

The history of fascism was rooted in socialist ideology (as Mussolini's history as a member of the Italian socialist party for 14 years can attest) as they both propose collectivist economic principles as the ideological solution to societal woes.
Fascism vs socialism isn't an argument of left vs right authoritarian ideologies, its an argument between different leftist ideologies. The confusion comes from the fact that fascism has historically opposed traditional socialist movements, but what often gets ignored is the fact that it also openly opposes capitalism and the free market in favour of centralized economic policies that follow collectivist and socialist principles. Fascism was intended as a third alternative between the two, though it is still very much another form of socialism.
In fact, just to further illustrate that fascism is adjacent to socialism, the ideological father of fascism, Giovanni Gentile, wrote the doctrine of fascism in conjunction with fricking Mussolini. He went so far as to state that “Fascism is a form of socialism, in fact, it is its most viable form.” In essence, fascism is a form of socialism that is predicated on national identity, whereas traditional socialism is rooted in class identity. For the sake of completeness, Nazi ideology was another form of socialism that was predicated on racial identity as a necessary component of national identity (and similarly called itself national socialism, further confusing things).
