iโ€™m actually like 500 pgs into Eye of the World right now and like it better than i thought i would. still like First Law better tho

The first three books are basically the intro, EOTW isโ€ฆextremely lotry on a superficial level. TGH+TDR are unique but still the introduction. Everything finally properly starts in TSR and it is like nothing else. Though the whole โ€œyou have to read ~4000 pages first to see if itโ€™s your thingโ€ is a really hard sell and I get that.

It does blossom into something that blows every other piece of contemporary literature out of the water, though.
