I find it funny that the chinese seem to think that they're the only ones to have thought of building diplomatic ties through investment with Africa. The western world has tried for decades and every time you help them out they embezzle the billions given to them, go on a genocidal rampage and civil war, then the new dictator says "that wasn't us, we cannot pay back a loan given to Zaire, we are actually the DRC now. Good luck tho."
China will learn soon enough that Africa doesn't understand industrial development and maintenance. China believes that they can buy their way in, but Africa doesn't care enough to honour agreements that are enforced through "you signed this paper, therefore it's ours now"

Lol idk if its the same in China but usually best/well connected troops get to go on peacekeeping missions from poorer countries cause UN pay is wildly lucrative. But I doubt they'd do the same if it was their own people on the line tbh a piece of paper telling you to doesn't mean you suddenly care enough about random Africans enough to die for them.
