Thing is oregano sounds similar to orange man which is another word for trump. So these people to mock the liberals right under their noses chose oregano as their secret message of unity.
Just like how old secret societies would cut apples a specific way to be recognized by members, in a similar vein the right wing pro trump conspiracists have chosen to order a high amount of oregano or talk long about their love for oregano to signal they both hate the liberal order.
