Tweet that started it all

Officially, Linker "stepped down", but apparently he refused to apologize or take down the tweet after BBC asked him to so they suspended him.
This resulted in all of the co presenters and commentators to also "boycott"/quit for the time being

For the sneed, just look at top of /r/soccer
BBC has been taken over by fascists
Redditors are protesting the best way they can - complaining to the manager and not paying their TV loicence
Luckily there's murdoch owned Sky to take down the Tories at BBC
All in all it was a massively r-slurred move by BBC as even Jeremy Clarkson, Piers Morgan and Gary Neville all support Lineker.

Strange thing to be suspended for.
It's a moronic comment but it's not offensive. Maybe a Jewish executive didnβt like being compared to dinghy migrants.

I left it out of the post but it was allegedly because BBC requires impartiality from their presenters and comparing bong rightoids to nazis wasn't hecking okay.

Huh, that makes this way less insane. It's an r-slured tweet to suspend someone for but if there's an existing rule that presenters can't make political comments in public

yeah the point is the bbc is paid for by taxes (loicense lol) so they have to remain "neutral" in all their content.
in practice everyone thinks its biased against them in particular.
in reality, like everything else in the west it has a left wing bias when it comes to r-slurred cultural shit like gay black vikings or electric cars or whatever, and then a """"liberal"""" (rightoid-hegemonic) worldview about economics and politics

They do not have a "no politics" rule, just vague rule about impartiality which isn't really enforced - this Tweet didn't result in any suspensions for example

It makes me wonder whether they wanted liniker out in the first place, and are using this as an excuse.

Impartiality fits the shoe:
"You're not Nazis but your goals sure sound like them." Not exactly impartial... There might be a bit of a difference between not housing people in hotels (paid for) and literal extinction camps, but Lineker apparently sees things this way. Grenade of Drama in all directions!

Yeah but Lineker talks about sportsball not politics, and it's not like BBC has cared about impartiality till now

But the BBC loves migrants and immigration and anything left wing, so wouldn't they support Lineker?
