Officially, Linker "stepped down", but apparently he refused to apologize or take down the tweet after BBC asked him to so they suspended him.
This resulted in all of the co presenters and commentators to also "boycott"/quit for the time being

They do not have a "no politics" rule, just vague rule about impartiality which isn't really enforced - this Tweet didn't result in any suspensions for example
