The global entry process takes forever so I wouldn't recommend that. Precheck is pretty quick

It's the shorter line at the airport where you don't have to take off your shoes/jacket/belt.

Schedule an appointment, get interviewed about your employment/citizenship/travel habits, minor background check, pay ~$80, and you'll get 5 years of white privilege at the airport.

My interview was basically "you're a white natural-born couple. sign here."
