In the US it doesnโ€™t. People try it all the time and it can drag out proceedings, but youโ€™re just getting the judge pissed at you.

Iโ€™m not a lawyer, I just have a few in my family and ask these kinds of hypotheticals a lot.

If the argument can be made that youโ€™re just putting your money in someone elseโ€™s name to get away from financial obligations you hold (like child support, alimony), the trust can broken by court order.

If you donโ€™t want to give a chick your stuff when you divorce in the US, get a prenuptial agreement and get a lawyer to validate it, since judges will throw out lopsided prenups all the time too.

Apparently these Looney Tune loopholes have been scrutinized for literal centuries, so if you can think about a situation, itโ€™s probably been ruled on.
