LA punk politics came as a result of LAPD pigs being the most vicious and evil in history. No joke the stories of them acting like the slave catchers of their roots was true. They used to be the absolute shit out of kids and torture them. That scene was essentially pigs against everyone so gay butt unity was needed.
East coast scene we were always violent motherlovers to each other but the PMA idea was always a thing. Mackaye was always kinda gay but everyone knew that was bc he went to some hippie school. Fighting was just what you did as a punk here in the frozen north and when you went down to Boston to see a show you used to make fun of the city spazzes.
I don’t know what the frick is going on today. Zoomer punk is all about gay as frick hiphop and rap and shit and no one even pretends to play instruments and they all dress like cute twink clowns and the boys are all proud to be neurodivergent and the foids all seem to be r*pe victims begging for s*x.
