This show is poor people cope. "Look how terrible rich people are and how miserable it is to be ultra-wealthy! They all hate each other. Aren't you glad to be poor and have a normal family? No need to eat us, we're eating ourselves."

It's how secretly jealous British middle aged white dudes view wealthy American kids running a caricature of Fox news which they simultaneously respect for its power and influence over culture. Something the brits haven't had for half a century.
It's an outsider perspective on a story, which is why it's good. Lacks the cynicism and self-hatred of American TV show runners.
