The Economist youtube comment sections are filled with commies, rightoids, angry progs and fatties. Here are some comments from that thread.

I always laugh at how Redditors act like fresh fruit and vegetables only exist at like a Whole Foods or something when every fricking WalMart in this country carries a shit ton of fresh produce.

Even if you eat macdonald’s every day you don’t have to eat 5 big macs for launch. Fats are fat not only because of junk food, but because they keep shoving lots of it down their throats.

THERE IS LITERALLY A FOOLPROOF SYSTEM FOR NOT GETTING FRICKING FAT:

  1. DONT DRINK SUGARED SODA EXCEPT AS A RARE TREAT

  2. DONT KEEP JUNK FOOD IN THE HOUSE

  3. DO 45-60 MINUTES OF CARDIO AT LEAST 5 TIMES A WEEK

YOU WONT LOOK LIKE ARNOLD BUT YOU'LL BE HEALTHIER THAN 75% OF AMERICANS AND ITS EASY AS SHIT

TRANS LIVES MATTER

I think a lot about the one scene in Super Size Me where the soy boy interviews these reasonably well built ghetto neighbors and when he asks them how often they eat McDonald’s, they reply with β€œEvery day” and that it doesn’t matter because they live active.

The whole movie was such a farce.

First time I went to burgerland I was astonished by the amount of fat young people. In Brazil is normal to see some old and middle aged men with beer bellies and chubby old ladies, but american youths are straight out obese, their parents are probably fats who filled them with candies and potato chips when they were kids.

Healthier foods tend to have less calories per pound so that goes a long way towards filling you up without needing 4000 calories. A lb of chicken breast has the same number of calories as a half pound of ground beef. you'd probably need to eat 4 lbs of spinach to eat the same number of calories as that one lb of chicken breast. All of these are the same amount of calories, but obviously will leave you with different feelings of fullness.

Fr sometimes I make a big salad for dinner (I love fresh veggies :marseylickinglips: ) and the salad I have to make to get enough calories is massive. I'm straight up not convinced you can fit enough veggies in yourself to get obese. Like yeah portions matter but if you restrict your diet to actual healthy foods it's insanely easy to not overeat.

But these "people" legit stuff themselves with the junkest of junk food and wonder why dieting is so hard.

Eat a fricking vegetable (without drowning it in fricking ranch).

Proceeds to consume 6000 calories per day of junk food without even going for a walk. Zero sympathy for them.

Redditors love Costco because of the $0.25 pizza slices and ignore the section in the back of the store full of dirt-cheap fruits and vegetables, and then have the gall to insist that blueberries are unobtainable.

You don't even need fruits and vegetables, quality meat is far more important. Eggs are also great and cheaply available.
