That shit started around 2017 iirc.
The first sanction was against keep yourself safe pinging. (they just started treating keep yourself safe as threatening violence in general after that).
Then mean pinging got the axe.
Then pinging anyone who wasn't a dramatard and/or wasn't commenting in drama threads became bannable.
All this before they just straight up banned pinging for us 😂
