The day of the mop begins, r/AdviceAnimals is reopened by Chadmins

Potential happening. /u/legweed (head honcho of /r/AdviceAnimals) has had their permissions reduced to modmail and the subreddit has been reopened. The working idea is that a lesser mod was able to get Reddit to reopen the subreddit and coup the head mod.

Reddit can, and will, become a publisher if they push too hard on enforcing editorial control.

In what world is demopping powermods going to make reddit have MORE editorial control? They narratives are already heavily controlled on reddit

the beauty of social media is that large sites can get so much content published (without compensation), is that not only can they become a publisher by just removing the items that they dont want shown, and not only can they get away with section 230 protections, but they can farm out the censoring to losers that do it for free…

all while still managing not to turn a profit in the case of reddit :tayscrunch:

Just like Twitter became a publisher when they carefully curated the range of allowable opinions... oh wait
