I saw a study recently that showed having Covid19 a first time provided much better immunity against newer covid variants than having the jab.

After you've recovered from the first infection of course. Theoretically, it would be funny if there was a super-deadly variant of Covid with say a 10% death rate, since it would actually be worth trying to get infected with the old variant (over being vaccinated) to reduce the likelihood of getting the new deadlier variant.
Since it does indeed offer better immunity than the vaccine.

That would be funny because it would kill everybody but vaxxed that had Covid before. According to the study, having a previous infection and getting vaxxed conferred the highest level of protection against the coof.

I'm sure being vaxxed on top of already being infected would offer even more protection.
But if you're vaxxed in the first place without having had Covid19 first, then you're potentially missing out on the opportunity to be better protected in that theoretical case I gave, since you're less likely to catch Covid19. Ironically, it would be better to be unvaxxed so you could catch Covid19, and THEN get vaccinated afterwards.
