I marginally prefer them to the ~rescuers~ because they respect the power of their dogs and keep them from the public, but the dogs don't need to exist to begin with and even this forum of 'respectable' dogmen is fine with catmills/jenny cages so it's a moot point I suppose.

Good point. the Stephanie's getting yanked around in Petco by their pibble scare the shit out of me. I didn't know they were originally meant just for bull baiting/fighting lol.
I shouldn't talk shit though, I grew up with great danes and never used them to hunt wild boar.

There's a big difference between pitbull-type dogs and other working dogs that were converted into family pets in that they were selectively bred to do as much damage as possible to large animals and to have high tenacity/a low pain tolerance, which makes them inherently dangerous even if the aggression is bred out of them. There are tons of other breeds of working dog that make shit pets for normal people (probably most tbh, the average westerner is not qualified to be a good dog owner), but at most they'll live miserable lives or make their owners' lives heck, whereas pitbulls make other people's lives heck because of what they were bred for.

The true pitbull was bred for complete obedience. You were supposed to be in the ring with the dogs and able to grab it and pull it away at anytime. Also, real pitbulls are surprisingly small. Most dogfighters were dirt poor so they’d actually live with the little bastards, so any who acted aggressive towards humans was meeting its end courtesy of a shovel to the face.
Most maulings are done by ghetto trash guard dogs owned by hoodrats. These have about as much relation to a proper pitbull as the the current slop KFC serves has to the Colonel’s original golden recipe. These things are monsters. A good guard dog, like the German Shepherd, the Akita, the Doberman, or the Rottweiler, knows when it’s time to maul and when it’s time to be friends. When you go in the shelter and see the “pitbulls” make sure what you’re getting isn’t a hoodrat frankenstein.
You need to know if what you’re dealing with is a genuine pitbull or some crackhead’s chainsaw with a tail. A proper pitbull will let you pick it up or kick it without biting. A ghetto shitbull will start biting immediately. A true well-trained pitbull will ignore ankle biters attacking it. A ghetto shitbull will maul its siblings. A pitbull is not instantly aggressive towards all other dogs. A ghetto shitbull is because it knows it should not be and is seeking the sweet release of death. A proper pitbull is well-socialized and loves children. A ghetto shitbull only knows pain and hate. A pitbull eats anything it can reach because it’s kinda stupid. A ghetto shitbull…also does that. The true pitbull is surprisingly small but strong. A Ghetto shitbull is as big as the ghetto-butt breeder can get it. A pitbull is fearless and fights out of love. A ghetto shitbull knows only pain and fights out of fear. A pitbull holds on not because of its locking jaws but because they’re stupid and stubborn. A ghetto shitbull… is exactly the same. A pitbull eats dog food and not babies. A ghetto shitbull is fed gunpowder to make it mean. A pitbull isn’t. Do not trust the shitbull. If it bites you when you touch the top of his head kill him
Accept only quality pitbulls. It is your duty to test and weed out the unworthy. Go to your local shelter and temperament test. Kill those who are unworthy.
