being old seems fine as long as you're not in agonizing pain. you can sleep whenever you want, gov't sends you money every month, people get sad when you fall over. I look forward to it. mostly just sounds like your grandma needs to centralize her care because 18 different pills a day is unambiguous polypharmacy

Adult diapers are a big yikes. Take me out back and hit me with a shovel, I apparently never wore diapers as a baby and I don't plan to start after I retire. I've seen a lot of people lose bowel control past 85. Plus you know they get so morose all the time. Everything's framed in 'at least I got to see this before I die'. Feels like past 80 all people really look forward to is death. Everything else is timepass.
As for the meds, yeah, I suspect some of its money grubbing doctors but substantial parts also because of her r-slurred eating habits and her chronic conditions. They just keep piling up the older you get.
