WRONG. The only thing that makes a red/blue state a red/blue state is the people that vote in the elections. That means YOU (or, more accurately, NOT YOU). During the 2020 election, two deep red states (Arizona and Georgia) switched from Red to Blue. Also, in our lifetimes, many traditionally red states have begun drifting blue in matters of state politics. Kansas, a deep red state, for instance, has a Democrat governor and congresspeople.

Honestly, i always vote as well, but from my perspective (im europoor) i literally dont have faith in the system due to some of their decisions. But i am also not saying democracy doesnt work.
Im not from there but lets say when germany now decided they will bring gaza refugees (might be fake news but humor me), where could a german vote for this?
There was no vote, the Germans swung full chud and are polling in favor for the far right because they have enough, the current government is shocked, what do they do? Invite more refugees before elections. Imo if they are going to make decisions that will detrimentally affect people's lives for a better economy or virtue signal to the UN, then put it up for vote. They won't though because they know it wouldn't pass.
I still believe democracy is the only system that works, but id like the ability to trigger referendums if say you gather enough signatures.
