During the 2020 election, two deep red states (Arizona and Georgia) switched from Red to Blue. Also, in our lifetimes, many traditionally red states have begun drifting blue in matters of state politics. Kansas, a deep red state, for instance, has a Democrat governor and congresspeople.

In high school, the english class teacher gave us an assignment to make a poster supporting our preferred candidate to be hung up on the walls around the school.... like everything else in that bullshit class, the assignment had nothing to do with the english language, and it seemed inappropriate and distasteful to force a class of literal children who got all their opinions from the daily show to participate in the political system. So i made a "dont vote" poster. It was one of the few assignments i actually completed in that class, but it didn't make it up on the wall... so i made a promise to myself that i would never vote in any kind of election ever
Also i just don't like the whole democracy thing. At least in north korea they get big beautiful statues of dear leader. Here we get shitty little signs poking out of every available median strip and littering everyones front lawns. I don't understand what people think they are accomplishing with those signs. No one will ever see a "vote yes on ____" sign and go "shit, i was gonna vote no but i guess ill vote yes now". They are just an eyesore. Its like everything surrounding the democratic process. People think they have some kind of say in how things turn out and get really annoying about it. Worse, they think other people have a say too, so some dude in a MAGA hat is an existential threat to your way of life, instead of just some idiot with a hat
