Someone should tell them that "the social contract" is just a device used to defend the state by contrasting the conditions of being governed to living under literal anarchy (the so called "natural condition").
Essentially, that the loss of freedom by living under the government is the price a person pays for stability and peace. This is the contract as imagined by early Liberal thinkers (And Hobbes).
It is not real, it is a thought experiment. Breaking the "social contract" does not mean anything.
