I agree that Marsey is outdated and obsolete but I don't think her replacement should be another cat
. Let's be honest, cats are nasty, selfish and useless animals. They're also devastating to the local ecosystem. Which is why I think it's best if our next mascot is a DOG! A vastly superior pet in almost every meaningful metric 
And unlike cats there are far more interesting designs from real life to choose from.
