South Korea finished 2023 with a record low TFR of 0.72 children per woman. Pic related is the demographic pyramid of SK. Remember that by 2050 that small cohort at the base will be the one having babies, and if current trends are not reversed by then that small cohort will be slashed by 2/3rds upon the post 2050 generation. It is projected that by 2067, 47% of Koreans will be 65+.
