>The last few months have been unbelievable. For those not familiar with my tale of woe, we were evicted from our rental last year in a country with an 0.8 vacancy rate on rentals and we have been unlucky in the bloodbath. DW and I have been living in MIL's garage since then where she belittles my work, throws my clean laundry on the floor if I dare to be busy when the washer finishes because "soon has to happen now", calls her daughter fat at every chance, threatens to put her childhood cat to sleep when the cat is still in good health, repeatedly threatens to evict us, and keeps notes around the house on me and my medical issues, as well as how much money we make.

>This week started with her tampering with my food, the first real meal I'd cooked without my sister present for MONTHS. So it's back to takeout and boxed meals. Tonight I got Subway and I got a wrap and since their sandwich press sucks and doesn't melt the cheese I got the pleasure of being exposed to more of her crap while I melted my cheese.

For no reason!"

>Mercifully at this point I have my cheese melted and I get to run away but it actually amazes me that after years of my wife blatantly and openly explaining in great detail what she did to make their relationship so strained, she still doesn't get it. She hasn't learned a darn thing. She's gonna continue using me as a scapegoat for her frickups because she cannot conceive that beating her child, locking her in a room when she "acted out" as a kid, repeatedly stomping boundaries, body shaming, and so SO much more, MIGHT just make her daughter not want much to do with her! Nope! Definitely the MEAN EVIL HUSBAND who made her do things she's never done, like stand up for herself and have self-respect.
