Think about this.. spend some time, I suggest a year, maybe 10, truly considering how much work any agency dealing with discrimination has, and how brutally serious a lot of it is. People are regularly abused, under paid, bullied and otherwise exploited. Just dealing with your nonsense takes someone away from dealing with far more serious problems even if it's just the time necessary to suggest you get a grip. Even if you're technically correct, in this case that's the worst kind of correct.

Usually a staff member would highlight such a day or event to celebrate with HR so they are aware. It's not HRs job the organise ever special day in a calendar. Maybe you should have highlighted before the day to organise something.
