The man in the photos is Daniel Penny, who last year put a repeat criminal in a choke hold after the guy started threatening to kill people on the subway. In the process the man, who had been arrested multiple times prior, including for assaulting two elderly people and a minor died.
Instead of giving the guy a medal for helping his fellow citizens out New York decided to arrest and prosecute him for murder.
Now, you might make the mistake of thinking this will be a wake up call for coastal libs and progressives, but as someone who lives in Los Angeles I can assure you will never find a bigger group of absolutely r-slurred cucked people then those that live in Deep Blue cities. They will do nothing. Because you have to remember, yea it sucks to get sucker punched by a repeat violent criminal that the city keeps letting back out on the streets, but have you thought about the bigger more important problem in America? Daniel Penny could have deescelated the situation, butt instead he decided to play vigilante and brutally strangle Jordan Neely to death. I havent seen the video, butt Ive read all about it and am pretty sure he said (or at least thought) the g*merword while Neely was in his death throws. Also no one was in as much danger as Neely was being an underprivileged BIPOC with mental illness and it is a fact thaf people with mental illness are MORE likely to be victims of violent crime than perpetrators as we saw that day in the subway. Also these random attacks are happening because criminals feel emboldened when they see yt men in positions of power just walk away with basically a slap on the wrist. An unironic best episode is an earlish 2000s one based on the case of David Reimer which had recently all come to light. Basically a psychiatrist convinces parents to raise one male twin who had a circumcision accident as a female that left their peepee basically gone.
It really fricks them up and the story starts because I think the 'female' twin is anally r*ped and then things unravel from there with the s*x stuff and the creepy psychiatrist (which wasn't that different from the actual doctor in the real-life Reimer case). Has a GREAT ending that feels 100% satisfying despite being being pretty tragic and a bit of a loss for the actual SVU team.
