WWII was a huge drag on the collective psyche of the west...fascism wasn't just a buzzword, it was a real thing and people were justifiably worried about never experiencing it again. but narcissists and power grabbers used that fear to gain their own chokehold on power and it worked for decades. however it won't work forever. anyone who had any link to WWII is dying off, even their kids are dying off and most young ppl don't give a frick about it. it's lost its power to scare ppl and some actually healthy nationalism is taking root again. just my opinion

I agree that some amount of nationalism is healthy/necessary, and I agree that the post war2/“end of history” era is ending but what comes next is uncertain and undoubtedly messy. Honestly, what is to be done with hostile migrants determined to undermine their host nations? There is no getting rid of them and no assimilating them without massive effort and passage of time. What is to be done?

He means the segregation and inequality of outcomes. Sweden has become increasingly suburban because city cores are shitholes, the schools are struggling to deal with r-slurs who can't write or read and hold back native Swedes therefore they go to private schools, disproportional prison populations, police profiling, etc. All these things that America was known for and only had “because America is racist” is now occurring in the most tolerant nation in history who does everything it can to NOT end up as America.
America is a nation of 2, White America and Black America, Sweden is finding out why there are 2 americas and is hurtling towards 2 Swedens.
