Officers from Barra da Tijuca have preventively arrested a transgender woman who is allegedly the head of a criminal organization that steals from customers during s*x work. Mikaelly da Costa Martinez, 25, born in Mato Grosso do Sul and recipient of Brazil's most beautiful transexual after winning the 2019 Miss Transex Brasil, is being investigated for luring men through her Instagram profile, and upon arriving at the motel, drugging them and taking some of their belongings, such as smartphones, watches and debit and credit cards. She was caught at Ipanema Beach, in the south of Rio de Janeiro.

According to Chief Leandro Gontijo, in one such case, a man claimed to have met Mikaelly around midnight in July 16, at a bar in Érico Veríssimo Avenue. In another procedure, Mikaelly is suspected of committing a similar crime. In this case, bank transfers were made via PIX to the criminals' bank accounts.

Investigations showed that Mikaelly uses a number of names, which makes her identification in crimes difficult. Only in Mato Grosso do Sul, she has 17 criminal notes for theft, as well as damaging and possessing stolen goods. On January 1st, 2015, she was caught killing transvestite Douglas dos Santos Pinheiro, known as Verônica Bismark, with a pocket knife in Coxim, 260 kilometers away from Campo Grande. She is also accused of crimes in São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
