They only found remnants of the previous WMD program. Things like areas with higher than normal radiation. They did find a few collections of WMDs, but they had clearly been made years ago, had been forgotten about, and were no longer viable.
Saddam had ended his WMD program, and so the invasion of Iraq was predicated on lies (possibly shitty intel too, but most likely just lies).

I'm no fan of Saddam... But do you really believe that horseshit pre-text we used to invade? Sure he's using chemical weapons on the Kurds... so what?
