Ohhhh the drama with PGE goes far deeper than this.
They proposed a 17% increase that started in Jan and it turns out it was an average increase and peak hours was actually raised by almost 30%. This started during our major icestorm and everyone woke up to 700 dollar bills just because they ran their heat during one of the worst winter storms in our history. PGE told everyone to not run their heat.
Now theyre proposing another big increase and doing stupid shit like this. The movement to make them a public utility is growing and will come to a head in the next couple of years.
Their ceo makes millions a year btw and gave themselves a huge pay bump in Jan while they were fricking all of us.
It's fun to watch!
