The bigger issue imo is how cheap the whole story is. We learn after batman Arkham Knight, a game which left Bruce Wayne either dead or totally off his rocker depending on your interprtation of the ending, he just sort of goes back to normal after shaking Superman's hand? I played like 4 hours of the game when amazon gave it out for free and its just impossible to care about the story. There is no mystery what you see at the start "Brainiac has brainwashed the league and you need to kill them" is all you get. There is no heel turns or chracter development or intrigue . Literally nothing happens. Its just quips and traveling around roof tops to fight the same bland enemies in the same bland missions for like 10 hours. The original Suicide Comics in the 80s were like an actual black ops team made of actually obscure characters. They were all hand picked for missions based on their skill sets. Harley wasnt a member because she has no ops skills and is highly unstable. Since the team comp was actual d-listers they frequently actually died or betrayed the team. There was drama , suspense, politics (i mean like actual political intrigue not some pride skins), and some morally grey moments of ambiguity. OFC every modern take on this is just hot topic soy slop

Wasn't Harley only created in the 1992 Batman the Animated Series?, and her modern-day incarnation that is crackhead equivalent of a tranime waifu did not pop up until the 2010s, so of course she was not an original member of the Squad, she is a certified BVILT snowbunny today tho.
